In an effort to curb my OCD (which if you asked my husband, it's non-existent), I tried baking cookies with Ethan today. Phew. Ok, how do these little susie homemakers do it? I always see it on reality shows about parenting, kids making cookies with their moms and it always looks like loads of fun. Is something wrong with me? It took a lot (and I mean a lot) of effort to refrain from ripping the spoon out of his hand and just doing it myself. But I kept telling myself, "It's not about the cookies, it's about spending quality time with my son." So besides the little bout of anxiety, I think it turned out to be a memorable moment.

I love the pick of Louie begging for a lick!! We still laugh at Ethan yelling at Louie to go take a deuce!! LOL!!!! It was great seeing him yesterday, tell him we too had fun at the Kool!! ;) What a cutie he is!!!

I am with you, others sure make it look easy...I won't even let Jim stir the batter. LOL
do not feel bad. Naomi is almost 8 and i have given up to the point of getting 'break and bake' cookies...and i do not even let her do that. that is what grandmas are for!!!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks those moms are delusional!
